Using Banner Metadata

Table names are always 7 characters.
The first letter of a table typically starts with the same letter as the Banner Page. Exceptions are domain specific forms that share a common set of data such as PPAIDEN, SOAIDEN, etc. The main form for this example is SPAIDEN.
The third letter of a table should not include the letter "V" unless the Banner Page you are is a validation form. Example: STVTERM
Banner columns are always named "{TableName}_{DataElementDescription}".

Start from Ellucian Insights Metadata page.
Switch between Composite Views and Reporting Views by clicking on the link in the top right corner.
*Note: This will be very important for Insights Premium clients who have determined the report they are building requires data that is supported by hourly refresh processing.
Click on the domain associated with the data type being reported.
Scroll to the bottom of the page to the section "Source Reports".
Click on the name of the table identified from the table field value instructions.
Each column in that table with an associated field in a view will be listed with the name of the views where that data can be found.
Click on a view to review the description, key and frequency, and the recommended search columns to determine if that view contains the information needed to support your data needs.
*Note: You can use the back button in your browser to go back and choose a different view.
